In This Week's News - EVERYTHING IS SUMMER
Kim Kardashian Launches KIMoNO
In all honesty, you can not hate the hustle of the Kardashians. While she is aiding in releasing unlawful incarcerated people and creating the body makeup we all want to try, she has also now launched a shape-wear brand “KIMONO”.
Launched on Instagram this past week, Kim expressed how she worked very hard to start this line and created it based on her experiences with shape wear. The line will range from XXS to 4XL and comes in all shades. Some people are extremely excited about the launch, however she is receiving some backlash from the public.
RENT THE RUNWAY & NORDSTORM PARTNER UP
We’ve spoken on here on how much we love Rent the Runway. This week, RTR announced that they will be partnering with the Nordstorm locations in California to create new drop-off locations. As of now, they have drop-off locations in WeWork locations. As a subscriber to the RTR monthly subscription this is music to my ears….. if I lived in California. Because of the popularity of the brand in NYC it is becoming extremely difficult to pick up my items after work. The lines are just a little too long. It is nice to hear that the RTR people are listening to consumers and trying to better the experience. Let’s see what they have in store for NYC now.
GLOSSIER OPENS NEW POP UP in Boston
The makeup power house has announced its plans to open up a new pop-up location in Boston. Why does this matter ? The Glossier stores are more than a store, they are an experience. Some will even argue that the experience alone is what converts its customers to the store.
Sidebar: Did you guys know that the creator of Glossier was also one of the Teen Vogue interns in the show “The Hills”.
L’Oreal & Karl Lagerfield Makeup
It was announced this week that L’Oreal and the Karl Lagerfield brand are teaming up for a makeup collection. Premiering in the next Paris Fashion Week, it is said the collection will be a direct reflection of him - stylish and edgy.
We are very excited about this one
