5 Beauty Products Every Working Girl Should Keep in Her Bag
As a Working Girl, you are always on the move. Whether you’re going from meeting to meeting or getting drinks with friends after work, you should always be prepared with your favorite beauty products for touch-ups throughout the day.
Here are 5 products that you should keep in your bag:
Lip Balm/ Lip Gloss
Ladies I am pretty sure you know this, but no one likes chapped lips. If you are talking all day in meetings and on the phone all day, your lips can typically get dry. Lip balms and glosses are great because they don’t bleed and smudge like lipsticks and they keep your lips hydrated. If you can, keep one in the car, at your desk, and in your coat.
Oil Blotting Papers
If you have makeup on everyday at work, by the end of the day your face can become really oily. Oil blotting papers can really help with that. They are sheets of paper that you tap on your face to absorb any oil. You can do it throughout the day so by the end of the day, the oil is at a minimum. They’re also very small so it won’t take up much space in your bag.
Moisturizing Hand Cream
Yes, I could have just said hand cream, but I really wanted to stress the point of it being moisturizing. Working girls use their hands. Writing, typing, even shaking hands can be really drying. Keeping a bomb hand cream in your bag will keep your hands smooth all day. Stray away from super scented creams. They become overbearing and can cause oil to transfer onto papers you may touch.
This may be quite obvious, but most girls try to just use their front camera on their phone as a mirror. Stop doing that. Mirrors, especially ones with a magnifying glass in them, can point out any flaws. Also if your phone dies (which I know does not happen because a Working Girl keeps a charger honey) you can have a back up. Also those bathroom mirrors at work suck and you can’t get up close and personal.
This may sound a little ratchet but hear me out. You need to always smell good. Sometimes your perfume can run out throughout the day. Some makeup stores such as Ulta and Sephora give out perfume samples for free. They come in small spray tube. You can typically get about 10-15 sprays out of them. Keep a nice selection in your purse to freshen up during your work day. Ask for a few the next time you go shop for makeup.
